  Janus Associates, Inc. is a for-profit, minority owned business which was chartered July 13, 1980.   We  were granted Minority Small Business Administration (8-A) Status in 1989 thus making us  eligible for Government contracts. These actions agree with our company's  founding   principle's that  people benefit best when they have access to a wide range of resources. In addition, we feel that the available resources we offer should be affordable and adequate, based on  income and selection's.

      In order to meet our stated goal, we offer a multi-cultural, holistic approach to client issues presented to us ... e.g. taking into consideration the client's ethnic exposure's, socio-economic background, financial status,  educational experience and religious beliefs.

      Our staff, full-time and part-time, reflects the above goals through their specialties and philosophies.  We  have on staff, and in our referral files, such specialist :   Psychiatrist, Physicians, Psychologist, Nurse Practitioners,  Marriage & Family Therapist, Nutritionist, Social Workers, Business and Family Consultants, multi-level Certified Court Mediator's and Massage Therapist.

        Janus Associates, Inc. was founded by Charles S. Broadfield -  Whose background includes:  Ph.D. School-Clinical. Psychology - Walden Univ.,  Ph.D. Marriage & Family Therapy (Criminal Justice cognate) - Capella Univ., M.A.  - Clinical. Psychology - Freie Univ. (Germany);  Ed.S. - School Psychology - Rowan (Glassboro State) Univ.,; M.A. Community Agency Counseling - New York Univ.,; Bachelors Science - Psychology -  Virginia State Univ. and post-doctoral studies at Princeton Univ., Univ. of Virginia, William & Mary College, Columbia Univ. School of Social Work, Regent Univ. and Va. Commonwealth University. Educational Teaching includes K-12, College - undergraduate through doctoral level, held Corporate level offices in IBM (Worldwide Manager of Organizational Development and Middle Management Training), Associate in Executive Development with Hay Associates of Philadelphia Pa., Executive Director of Mental Health Facility, Special contract Assignment in Special Education under the U.S. Dept. Of Education (IDEA).  Holder of a Diplomat in training and development , Certified  Drug & Alcohol Specialist (NCAC-II), Certified Suicide Prevention Specialist, plus  publications in the areas of Consumer Behavior, Drug and Substance Abuse Treatment, Teenage Fatherhood, and Child Sexual Abuse across cultures (emphases in the African-American Community).
